최병훈 작가의 작업에서 우리는 이러한 세계관과 천년 동안 지속된 문화적 DNA를 확인할 수 있습니다. 작가의 작품에서 '비움'과 '공간'의 개념은 그의 작업 전체를 관통하는 핵심적인 키워드입니다. '비움'은 바로 나라는 주체를 내려놓고 나의 욕망을 비웠다는 의미입니다. 이 비어있는 공간에 타자가 들어옵니다. 휴머니즘은 나를 비움으로써 '타자를 위한 공간'을 만드는 것을 말합니다.
In Choi Byung Hoon's work, we can identify such worldviews and the cultural DNA that has continued for a millenium. The concepts of 'emptying' and 'space' in the artist's work are core key words that penetrate his entire body of work. To empty is to set aside the subject 'I' and empty out my desires. The Other may then enter this empty space. Humanism is emptying oneself to create 'a space for others.'
